Olympic Marketing

A month ago, you couldn’t find anything ‘canadian’ in stores. I know that, I tried.

Today, because of the Olympics, only fools don’t sell t-shirts, jackets and toys with the large letters ‘C A N A D A’ on them.

And it doesn’t necessarily mean that they will get a huge profit from those. It also drives traffic into the shop, and once it is inside, it’s only a matter of time before it starts spending money on all kinds of stuff.

P.S. The official Olympics scarf from The Bay costs $20. The same scarf is sold at the price of $45 in the tourist area.
